What is Solar PV?
Solar PV is the name given to the rooftop solar you see on homes and businesses. A typical solar PV system is made up of solar panels, invertor and optional battery storage.
A solar panel consists of many photovoltaic cells linked together which convert light from the sun into electricity. Solar panels generate DC (direct current) electricity, which is then converted using a solar inverter to AC (alternating current – household utility frequency)
A solar inverter converts the (DC) output of a solar panel into utility frequency (AC) for use as electricity.
Solar Battery System
Solar Panels can generate more power than you actually require on certain days, a Battery Storage System will essentially store your unused electricity for later use.
